Pick the tab of the catalogue you need: «Varieties», «Box types» or «Solutions».
Add, change or archive a record.
For a new variety the three-letter code and the colour are created automatically; the «In use» checkbox puts the variety into the planting lists.
The composition of a solution is set in the «Components (name up to 10 characters, share %)» field: every component has a short name and its share in per cent.
The name of a solution is the «Code (up to 8 characters)» field: a solution has no other name, and renaming is done here.
The same place holds how many days later the solution is replaced - the «Replacement interval, days (empty - not set)» field. Leave it empty and the interval is simply not set, and the box map shows nothing about replacement; fill it in and the map shows how many days are left.
EDITS BY TWO PEOPLE DO NOT OVERWRITE EACH OTHER. If another member changed the record while you were editing it, the product says so and does NOT save your version over theirs. What you typed stays in the form: you can copy it, leave without saving and merge the changes into the current version.
Saving without a single edit changes nothing and does not disturb other members.
A record in use cannot be archived: a variety that is growing right now; a solution assigned to a box; a box type that boxes were created from.
A RECORD CAN ALWAYS BE RENAMED, even while it is in use: a solution poured into working boxes is renamed freely. The in-use restriction applies to archiving, and for a box type also to the cell layout: it cannot be changed on a type that boxes were already created from.
Archived records are not deleted for good - they can be restored on the «Archive (restore)» screen.
«Variety code must be exactly 3 characters (letters or digits)» - the variety code is exactly three characters, letters or digits. It is printed on tags, so it is short and of fixed length.
«Variety code is already taken» - a variety with this code already exists on the farm. Codes are not repeated.
«The variety is currently growing - remove its plants first (harvest or discard)» - the variety cannot be archived while its plants live in the boxes. Harvest them or discard them.
«Solution code is already taken» - a solution with this code already exists.
«The solution is in use - change it in those boxes first» - the solution is assigned to boxes. Change the solution in those boxes first.
«Cannot delete a box type that is in use» - the box type is used by existing boxes. It can be deleted only when no such boxes are left.
«Components must be a list» - the composition of a solution is set as a list of components. Add at least one.
«No more than … components» - there are more components than the composition allows. The message names the limit.
«Component share must be a number from 0 to 100» - the share of a component is a number from 0 to 100.
«Dictionary kind: series or traits» - the kind of catalogue is wrong. Such a message usually means a stale tab - refresh the page.
«Empty dictionary value» - the catalogue value is empty. Fill the field in.
«Unknown dictionary value» - the chosen value is no longer in the catalogue: it has been deleted. Refresh the page and pick again.
«Unknown decoration» - the chosen variety sign decoration was not recognised. Refresh the page.
«Unknown pathogen» - the named pathogen is missing from the resistance catalogue.
«Colour must be in #RRGGBB format» - the colour is given as #RRGGBB, for example #2E7D32.
«Replacement period must be a whole number of days from … to …» - the replacement interval is a whole number of days within the limits named in the message.
«Master catalogue not found» - the factory catalogue that reference records come from was not found. This is a failure on our side - write to support.
«Variety not found» - the variety has been deleted by another member. Refresh the catalogue.
«A factory model cannot be modified - make a copy» - a factory record cannot be changed. Make a copy and edit that.
