Understand why an action is unavailable by rights or role

How to do it

  1. Look at your role on the farm in the list of members.
  2. If the action needs higher rights - ask an administrator or the owner to do it.
  3. If the role was changed recently - refresh the page: the app learns about the new role on the next load.

When it is available

  • The farm has three roles: a viewer looks, an editor does the work, an administrator manages the members. The farm owner stands apart.

Important

  • Some actions belong to the owner and are unavailable even to an administrator: this protects the farm from losing its keeper.

If you see a message

  • «Insufficient permissions» - your role has no rights for this action.
  • «Invalid role» - the chosen role does not exist. Refresh the page.
  • «You cannot change your own role» - you cannot change your own role - otherwise an administrator could accidentally leave the farm unmanaged.
  • «Only the farm owner can do this» - the action is available to the farm owner only.
  • «The farm owner's role cannot be changed» - the owner's role does not change. Transfer ownership to another member first.
  • «Not found» - the object of the action was not found: most likely it was deleted while the page was open.
