Restore the factory reference data to its original state

How to do it

  1. Open «Configuration».
  2. In the «Data and danger zone» section pick «Restore factory reference data».
  3. Look at the summary: for every catalogue it says how many records will go back to factory values and how many will be added. The names can be opened separately if you wish.
  4. Press «Restore».

When it is available

  • Available to the farm OWNER ONLY. Other members, administrators included, do not see this item: the catalogues are the farm's holding, not the current work.
  • If the factory reference data is already in its original state, there is nothing to do: that is said at once, and there is no button.

Important

  • The operation DELETES NOTHING and archives nothing. The farm's own records - your varieties, box types and solutions - are not touched at all.
  • Your edits IN FACTORY records will be undone: a factory variety that was renamed, recoloured or changed goes back to its original look. That is the point of the operation.
  • The «in use» mark on a factory record stays yours: the operation does not change it.
  • Factory records received on the Pro plan and left after a return to the free one are neither restored nor taken away - they stay as you made them. Go back to Pro and they take part in the operation again.
  • The size of the factory set depends on the plan: on the free one it is a curated set, on Pro the full one.
  • Plants, boxes and the operation log are not touched: catalogue records are restored in place, so the plantings keep their varieties.
  • Now and then the article number of a factory record cannot be restored - if another farm record has taken it meanwhile. Then the article stays as it is, everything else is restored, and such a record is shown separately in the report.
  • The archive returns what you archived yourself. Restoring is for what the archive cannot help with: a factory record has been changed, or it was not in your catalogue at all.

If you see a message

  • «Master catalogue not found» - the factory catalogue that the reference data is restored from was not found. This is a failure on our side - write to support.
