In the «Farm name» field correct the name if it has changed: what was set at sign-up went in here.
In the search field - «City, district or village, in any language» - start typing the name of your place. A moment later a list appears under the field; pick the line you need.
If you wish, fill in «Notes» - this is a note for people, calculations do not read it.
The name of a place can be typed in any language and any script - in Russian, in Latin letters, in Thai, Khmer, Burmese or Lao. What is found is shown the way it is written locally.
The search starts from three characters and after a short pause, so the list does not appear instantly.
One short word may lead you astray: Cameron, for example, finds towns in the USA, because there are many of them there. A more precise phrase helps - «Cameron Highlands» or the name of your village.
If your place was not found, open «Coordinates» and type the latitude and the longitude by hand. The pair can be pasted as one line, it splits into two fields by itself.
Coordinates are kept only as a pair: either both are filled in or both are empty. Latitude alone does not define a place.
The location may be left empty - keeping track of plants will not suffer. But the features that rely on it (weather and filling the outdoor temperature into measurements) stay unavailable and honestly say what they are missing.
The accuracy is the one the chosen place gives: usually its centre, not the spot of your greenhouse. For climate calculations that is enough.
Permission to read the location from the device is a separate feature (#389). This page describes the path for someone who has not given such permission.
The unit system and the time zone are neighbouring settings of the same farm profile (#390, #216).
