Understand when the solution needs changing

How to do it

  1. Open the box on the working bar - the replacement due is written on the box map itself, top right.
  2. Read the caption: first the code of the solution in use, then the number of days left before it should be changed.
  3. Once the time is up, the day count is replaced by a red «time to replace» label.
  4. To change it, assign the solution to the box again with a new fill date. The countdown starts over from that moment.

When it is available

  • The box must have a solution filled: with no fill there is nothing to count and no caption appears.

Important

  • Days are counted from the fill date using the lifetime set on the solution record itself. Change it in that one place and it applies to every box using that solution.
  • If no lifetime is set, the app works it out from the average air temperature in the measurements of the current fill: the warmer it is, the sooner the change. This calculation is experimental - treat it as a hint, not an exact date.
  • The caption describes the CURRENT fill only. Previous compositions live in the box history, together with measurements and solution changes.
